Zumy I'm not going to argue with you anymore, I apologize for getting carried away but everyone is entitled to their opinion. I just get irritated with people's theories, Lelouch being alive, Tobi being Danzo or Obito, Vegeta being the unshakable badass, etc, I've just had it with theories, anyway I've looked at some human anatomy pictures and your heart is between your nipples and a few degrees to the left, I don't even care anymore, you believe whatever you want and everybody just enjoy the show, okay?

ok well MAX i think you have actually counter argued my statements better than anyone else, you might have said similar or the same things, maybe you didnt, but the way you presented it actually made it worth to be made a counter arguement to my statement IMO. there are several reasons why i think this, and that is because you didnt use the line that he got stabbed in his heart. not matter how many times i look at it the video, where he gets stabbed at is too low to be where his heart is at.

but anyways job well done

Oh, boy. Hehe, been a while since I've seen this.

For starters, Lelouch is not alive. Please consider the many things that must've happened to his body after Cornelia and friends charged the parade float. After tearing him away from Nunally, those who dislike like him would probably go about burning and/or mutilating his remains. Chances are Cornelia (after seeing how hard it is on Nunally) would put a stop to this. However, he would never be left alone. Someone would always be there, right up until they cover him with six feet of dirt. He's too powerful and infamous a figure to simply be left out on the street to rot. And before being buried in said dirt, he'd be placed in a coffin. A supercoffin, probably, meaning he'd have a very low chance of getting out.

Also consider Lelouch's intent. What purpose would he have for immortality? He's just spent the last three (four?) months of his life making himself hated enough to be killed, why waste it by taking CC's code?

Not to mention how honestly grief-filled CC appears in this very episode. She's never been one to show so much emotion, why would she cry like that if she knew he was to survive? Because she knew how hated he'd become? I'm sorry, but that's just not in her character.

I believe her last line may have been a reference to a number of things. First off, how she herself was not alone. She could always return to Suzaku, Kallen, or even Nunally. In the end, she had learned that Geass does not truly isolate someone, but it can, depending on how it's used. On top of that, Lelouch was not truly alone in the end either. He could trust Suzaku enough to take his place as Zero, thus CC may have been referencing Lelouch's friendship with Suzaku in her final line.

Last but least, Shirley. Yup, that Shirley. Ignoring all shipping opinions, one has to admit that Lelouch and Shirley were, at the very least, good friends. When he lost her, he was almost alone (Rolo aside). And then, shortly after, he lost the CC he knew and loved (like a sister, at least). However, in death he gets to see Shirley again, thus he is not truly alone. There's a very cute picture somewhere of them holding each other in heaven, I'm sure.

Next point: R3. As of yet there is no information on an R3, and, to be blunt, it's highly likely that there never will be. The new manga take place in a different time period, the light novels are just there for background information and added entertainment, and the new anime is most decidedly not what you were hoping for. It's called Code Geass Gaiden: Boukoku no Akito (Akito of the Ruined Nation) and takes place several years after the end of R2. Apparently, Lelouch’s grand scheme for world peace failed, and war has ensued. There shall be new characters, new Knightmares, and no LL. Old favorites (like Akira Yasuda, CLAMP, Ichirou Okouchi and Gorou Taniguchi) will be returning, and we'll see some new faces as well (specifically, Shigeru Morita and Kazuki Akane).

As for that manga, it's called Code Geass: Jet-Black Renya and the main character looks like Lelouch but isn't (it takes place during Japan's Edo period). And, oh yeah, CC is in it.

That's about all I can say for now. Summary? Lelouch is dead, new anime, new manga, no R3, and Orange gets his own planet.

Oh and as for Ares's comment on the points he made....he has a good point. Nothing can really be proven. Maybe C2 gave him her code, maybe she didnt. But if so, then it will lead to r3 and that will stop everyone from arguing. But i heard in 2010 there is suppose to be an r3. I know the manga is in a diff era then this series. But idk bout the new series they are SUPPOSE to make.

This was terribly sad. But it was an incredible plan that he thought out. It was indeed harsh, but it changed life for everyone and it made peace, whether it be temporary or permenant peace. It made the world easier to live in by focusing all hate to him and causing more bloodshed then Euphie. Then death to destroy that hate, and leave nothing left to despise. It was ingenius. But yet i still wish that more people understood what happened, why it happened, why he did it, and what his entire plan was.....but i guess that it would be to risky for people to know. BRAVO!

Ok I'll try to end this AGAIN! Just for this one post I watched this last episode through VERY CAREFULLY and will now shoot down every one of your points, will that satisfy you?

1st point, the sword WAS rammed through his chest, pay close attention to where precisely the sword point pierces Lelouch(17:32) and that spot on his clothes (7:32 has a good picture), THAT IS WHERE YOUR HEART IS, doubly sure because of how much blood comes gushing out, that much blood loss alone would ALSO be enough to kill a person!

2nd point, C2 was refering to him paying with his life. As I already explained, Lelouch told Suzaku "you have to kill me, you must promise", Lelouch's plan was to have all the hatred of mankind placed solely on him, remember how Suzaku HATED Lelouch for killing Euphemia well THIS was his way of making up for it, he spilled "enough blood to wash away all memory of Princess Massacre forever from people's memories", then as a way of atonement had Suzaku become Zero and KILL him, the idea was for Suzaku to become "a knight for justice and truth" "the hero who saved the world from Emperor Lelouch vi Britannia", for Lelouch to live would be very demeaning to this symbolic act.

3rd point, C2 originally wanted to die, a neverending life of meaningless existence is essentially a living hell, she wanted it to end, but then when battles Kallen she says this "I think the time has come for me to stop accumalting experience and start living", she had come to enjoy life, found her humanity and emotions at a time when she believed she no longer could, with that she "made a reason a fight" a reason for her to exist.

4th point You DON"T have to DIE to activate the code, I don't really understand why you think so, when Lelouch "ordered" Charles to "DIE" before, he shoot himself in the heart and laughs it off when Lelouch walks up falsely believing he's dead, HE WAS ALREADY IMMORTAL, that is WHY he didn't actually die, he stole V2's code and became immortal immediately from then on.

5th point, the wagon scene doesn't prove anything! First of all you don't see who is driving the cart, you said something about "spikey black hair", I can't see any face or hair at all from any angle, when and where exactly do you see it?, as for C2, she was talking to herself, speaking her thoughts to Lelouch out loud, that doesn't mean he's alive!

Final point, the creator (Ichir? ?kouchiis) is the ultimate authority on this "debate" of whether Lelouch is alive or not! You yourself even admitted that "the creators said that lelouch died"! But nevermind that inconvenient fact, it's just "wordplay" if someone disagrees with you, right, I mean it's not like the creator would know what happens in his own creation!

ok i can agree that it probably was an annoyingly long ramble, but i do not see how it would make me stupid. unlike some of the people on here who only made a single point without pointing out facts like me, i did give enough facts that argue against what people have been saying, mainly the ones who say that he is dead. i am just going with what is given. and to counter your "fatal blow" theory, well i even countered that in my comment. you must die in order to active the code. Charles had either shot himself in the head or the heart i cant remember, but it was a fatale blow caused by lelouch. so try again and actually give some proof or reasoning that can argue on par with my points.

Your annoyingly long ramble just proves how stupid you are!

Also the sword did through his chest about an inch above where his rib cage comes together, that's a fatal blow.

ok well it wasnt quite through his chest or his heart, it was his stomach.

couldn't C2 have been referring to him living on forever when she said the price he was going to pay was a dear one, it doesnt neccesarily HAVE to be his life.

Lelouch is alive cuz why else would she have gone from saying that she wants to die and living on forever was a bad thing, then at the end she says maybe it isnt all that bad?

about the creators saying he died, true he did die. but think about the requirements to become immortal. you must die in order to activate the code. so sure he died, and the creators might have said that( im not gonna say they did unless i see proof of it), but that doesnt mean he is dead. there is a difference in the two in the sense that one is the past form and one is the present.

ok some of what i said may be repeated in this but here is something that i had posted before, its a bit long but bear with me
____________________________________________
"well im gonna go ahead and put in my small thought about why i think, and really one of the biggest reason i think, that Lelouch is still alive.

the reason that i am going off of, and i think it was only mentioned once, but just like everyone else it DOES go back to the end scene with the hay wagon, but unlike everyone else, im not gonna say its the photoshopped picture that gives proof, or the supposed “deleted” scene from the episode that shows someone with spikey black hair.

my basis for believing that Lelouch is still alive is C.C.’s choice of words when she is laying down. Throughout all of the series she is wanting to die because she has become lonely and isolated from everyone else because she is immortal, and that is the part of the contract, between her and lelouch, that Lulu( getting tired of spelling out his name) was suppose to fulfill. well he never does kill her so he never does inherit her Code, so im sure he got it from Charles. ANYWAYS i got off track a bit but it still proves my point.
the last part of her sentence after she talks about how she used to think about how the power of geass condemns a person to the life of solitude, like she had to suffer for a few hundreds of years, she says that that might not be quite correct, which means that she now believes the opposite. all of what had happened wouldnt cause her to believe differently, cuz even if she was talking to lulu through means similar to how she talked to his mom, she wouldnt change how she thought about the power of geass, because even when she would talk to lulu’s mom, she still believed that the power of the geass would still bring a life of solitude.

ANYWAYSS solitude means to be away from everyone else, not to be with anyone, be by yourself yadayada. she felt isolated even when talking to Lulu’s mom. she would still feel isolated if lulu was dead and she was talking to him in the same way as his mom. but in order for an immortal person to not feel isolated from the world, there would have to be another immortal person to be the companion to the other.
SOO the way i see it is that she doesnt feel isolated or lonely anymore because she has someone to share her immortal life with, that person being lelouch who had also became immortal through charles code.

im not gonna say what proof i have about him having the code, for one good reason, and its not that i dont have proof, but it’s because it has already been stated about what shows that he obtained a code, and it would only make this longer than it needs to be.

BUT ONE MORE THING, about the people who are saying that the creators said that lelouch died, although it IS hard to argue with the creators, think about this. ITS ALL WORDPLAY. until you show me the official recording or statement or whatever it was that the creators had said that he died, then i will take from what you had said. its true lelouch DID die, but that was so the code could be activated. so unless they really said that “lelouch is DEAD” instead of “lelouch DIED” and until you show me a link to where the proof is that they might have said dead instead of died, then its all word play that they are trying to use for whenever, if they had decided at that point, they bring out the new series and show some clue, once again if they decide to, and i sure hope they don’t cuz the series ended great regardless is lelouch lives or dies.

anyways im sure this is long enough to prove my single point that lelouch still lives"

ok well it wasnt quite through his chest or his heart, it was his stomach.

couldn’t C2 have been referring to him living on forever when she said the price he was going to pay was a dear one, it doesnt neccesarily HAVE to be his life.

Lelouch is alive cuz why else would she have gone from saying that she wants to die and living on forever was a bad thing, then at the end she says maybe it isnt all that bad?

about the creators saying he died, true he did die. but think about the requirements to become immortal. you must die in order to activate the code. so sure he died, and the creators might have said that( im not gonna say they did unless i see proof of it), but that doesnt mean he is dead. there is a difference in the two in the sense that one is the past form and one is the present.

ok some of what i said may be repeated in this but here is something that i had posted before, its a bit long but bear with me
“well im gonna go ahead and put in my small thought about why i think, and really one of the biggest reason i think, that Lelouch is still alive.

the reason that i am going off of, and i think it was only mentioned once, but just like everyone else it DOES go back to the end scene with the hay wagon, but unlike everyone else, im not gonna say its the photoshopped picture that gives proof, or the supposed “deleted” scene from the episode that shows someone with spikey black hair.

my basis for believing that Lelouch is still alive is C.C.’s choice of words when she is laying down.
